Becoming Yourself Series 1.0

Five week series free from cost, stress, and exams

Embracing the Real Me

January 15 – February 13 (Wednesdays, 12:30-1:20 OR Thursdays, 4:30-5:20)

Take a journey into asking: Who am I? How do I strip away the layers and uncover the original me? Why am I here? What would it look like for me to live authentically in a world that isn’t always supportive of my true self? How can I motivate myself with kindness?

A chance to find support with other travellers on the path who are asking similar questions. Try a variety of mindfulness practices and experiment with integrating them into your daily life.

Series will include weekly 50 minute workshops with interactive group exercises, mindfulness exercises to practice daily, a meeting with a staff coach, and self-awareness and creative activities.

  • Week 1: Who Am I? (Journey to an undivided life)
  • Week 2: Showing Up: finding freedom to be who you are
  • Week 3: From Self-Criticism to Self-Kindness
  • Week 4: Being Enough: motivating myself from love instead of self-criticism
  • Week 5: Life Purpose: What is calling me? What am I passionate about?

A completion certificate will be granted for participating in the full 5 weeks and staff coaching session.

The Becoming Yourself series is funded by Student Open Circles and is open to post-secondary students at no cost

From a former participant: The becoming yourself series gave me the tools to find what it is I truly want and how to find peace and tranquility within the busy course of my life. It helped me set aside time to dedicate to myself, my goals, and my well being. After completing the series I felt closer to myself as well as those around me.
