Body, Mind, Spirit Circle Wednesday, January 17
1:30-2:20, in Museum of Art, basement Educational Library

Perfectionism: Does it ever feel like ‘If I could just do things perfectly or faster or so that others approve, life would be so much better?’ Discuss and journal to find strategies to manage perfectionism, exploring what perfectionsim is and isn’t. Perfectionism is not the same as striving for excellence, growth or healthy achievement.  “Perfectionism is a 20-pound shield that we lug around, thinking it will protect us, when in fact it’s the thing that’s really preventing us from being seen.” – Brene Brown. Join us to discuss what it could look like to put down the shield.

Creativity Circle -  Friday, January 19
1:30-2:20, in Museum of Art, 4th floor Coin Room

Small Steps to Your Goals: Try writing exercises to get in touch with your dreams and find small steps to take towards your goals. “Begin where you are, with who you are…Rather than focus on large jumps – which may strike us as terrifying and unjumpable – we do better to focus on the first small step, and then the next small step after that,” says Julia Cameron. Join us to make small commitments towards your creative dreams.
