Community Volunteer Circles

A group of children and mentors smiling and laughing

A network of weekly volunteering groups for students:

  • Serve with other McMaster students at placements across Hamilton
  • Learn about and help address inner-city issues
  • Discuss your volunteer experiences
  • Make a significant difference where it is needed
  • Gain valuable experience

Each week your group facilitator helps you find your way to the placement and also facilitates discussion of your volunteer experiences for 20-30 min. at the end of your service experience.

How Do I Get Involved?

Spring/Summer Volunteering

Note: No group facilitators or reflection sessions during spring and summer terms

While our weekly Community Volunteer Circles (CVC) groups are on pause for the spring and summer, we still need individual volunteers to support ongoing programs. CVC will resume its weekly group sessions in the fall, offering opportunities to engage with agencies throughout Hamilton.

  1. Explore Current Volunteer Openings: Review available volunteer opportunities and apply directly to the agency as an individual volunteer.
  2. Have Questions? For more information or inquiries, reach out to the agency using the provided contact details.
