Reflection Circles this Week: Body/Mind/Spirit, Live Awake, Mindfulness

Reflection Circles are a safe space for students to connect with your self and others in an atmosphere of respect and awakening to your authentic life through mindfulness practice, creative expression, and discussion. You are welcome to attend any week! Open to undergraduate and graduate students.

Required Screening

To attend circles, review our Screening Checklist  If you are feeling unwell or had COVID-19/exposure, please do not attend. Exception: if you were sick within the last 10 days but your symptoms have improved for 2 days, you are welcome to attend if you wear a mask. (masks available)

Mindfulness Circle

Trust and Motivation from a Place of Love: How do I hold myself to the goals I want while being kind to myself? Experience a self-compassion practice to gently support myself in forming good habits. Uncover your inner motivation instead of getting caught up in the “shoulds.”

 Body Mind Spirit Circle

Finding Balance and Calm for Exams: How can you find balance during exam season? What practices can sustain you? Join us to set your goals and learn mindfulness techniques for restoring energy while studying, including simple movement and drawing meditations (like Zentangles – see the reflection exercise below).

Live Awake Outdoor Circle

Friday, Dec 6, 12:30-1:20pm, Circle of rocks behind Hamilton Hall (Register to receive location updates for inclement weather and map directions to the circle of rocks)

Centering Hike: Join us to ground yourself during exam time with reflection in Cootes Paradise, a playful expressive game to find new perspectives, and intention setting.  Create a symbol for grounding from found objects. Dress for the weather and trails!
