Meditation Circle - Monday, October 16
2:30-3:20, in SWELL meeting room (MUSC B118)

Discuss mindfulness topics: awareness, acceptance of one’s thoughts and feelings, living in the present moment, and how mindfulness practice may help you to stay focused and manage stress. Experience a simple guided meditation to include awareness of one's breath, body scan, and awareness of the sounds around you.

All are welcome, whether you are interested in meditation but don’t know where to begin, or are already engaging in reflection or spiritual practices and looking for the support of a group

Creativity Circle -  Tuesday, October 17
12:30-1:20, in the McMaster Museum of Art – basement Educational Library

This week we’ll view and creatively respond to the current exhibit, “A Cultivating Journey,” a collection of significant European art featuring paintings by Claude Monet, Gustave Caillebotte, Gustave Courbet, Camille Pissarro, Chaim Soutine, J.M.W. Turner, Vincent van Gogh and many more. You’ll have opportunity to respond in pastels or writing to what you experience in viewing the artwork.

Whether you are already an engaged creatively, or are beginning to explore your creative journey for the first time, this group has something for you. Learn from each other to live all of life creatively, whether through an artistic medium or through how you raise questions and engage society and your inner life. No perceived artistic experience or skill needed!

Body, Mind, Spirit Circle – Friday, October 20
12:30-1:20, in SWELL meeting room (MUSC B118)

Practice paying attention in your daily life through guided meditation and creating your own book of meaning where you collect things that inspire you. A variety of materials will be available to use for creating your book. Bring items that you wish to include in your book or to use in decorating the cover (such as a quote, image, story, song, or poem, etc.).

This group is a supportive space for sharing and listening to each other’s journeys, questions, and ideas about spirituality and authentic healthy living.
