Reflection Circles this Week
Meditation Circle - Monday, March 27
2:30-3:20, in SWELL meeting room (MUSC B118)
This week we will learn a practice called “Soften, Soothe, Allow,” that you can use in your daily life whenever you’re facing stress or difficult emotions. This meditation teaches how to locate emotions or stressful feelings in the body, to gently relax those areas, to allow yourself to feel whatever you are feeling, and to reconnect with compassion for yourself in the midst these feelings.
Creativity Circle - Tuesday, March 28
1:30-2:20, in the McMaster Museum of Art – basement Educational Library
Meditate with art images, and then express in watercolours your experience of the meditation. When painting, we’ll use a reflective process of setting aside symbol or intention, and then let what we create point us in new directions.
Body, Mind, Spirit Circle – Friday, March 31
12:30-1:20, in the McMaster Museum of Art – basement Educational Library
Reflect on where your spiritual journey has led you this term and where see it going into the future. To reflect on where your journey might take you, you will have space to create from the insights others have offered you, look at the reminders you have added to your journey jar, and return to the Live Awake podcast we experienced at the beginning of term.
